Well, the hits just keep on coming...We got up this morning, packed and ready for a 10.00am flight out of Charlotte bound for Chicago and on to Beijing. Unfortunately, Chicago is snowed-in and we aren't able to leave until tomorrow. What we really needed was another delay and some more adversity. It sucks.
In the last month, I had surgery, Byron (the dog) tore his ACL and is recovering from surgery. Two of the cats are now fighting illness, one with a urinary tract infeection, the other has kidney disease. And our basement flooded last week...will need to be rebuilt. Oh, and the morning after the flood, I woke to a cracked windshield.
Maybe it is all a test.
Our new scheduled departure is tomorrow morning. We'll see what happens. It shouldn't impact anything on the China end, except we might meet Mary on Tuesday instead of Monday.
